📧 Which Candidate Email Does Guide Use?
Guide automatically uses the primary email address listed on the candidate’s profile in Guide. This is usually the same primary email synced from your ATS.
If multiple emails are stored in the ATS, Guide will only pull in the one marked as “primary.”
This is the email used for:
Candidate confirmation messages
Calendar invites (ICS files)
Follow-ups and reminders
📱 What About Phone Numbers?
Guide does not import phone numbers from Greenhouse or Ashby.
For phone interview stages, Guide will prompt the candidate to enter their preferred phone number at the time of booking.
This phone number is then used for the specific interview but is not saved back to the Guide or ATS profile.

Make sure the primary email in your ATS is accurate before triggering scheduling via Guide
For self-scheduled phone interviews, select the "phone call" option for your request and Guide will require a candidate to submit their phone number within their booking.
