Linking Candidate Portal Templates to Jobs

Once you've created your templates, learn how to link them to the relevant jobs, either one at a time or in bulk.

Candidate portal templates define the structure and content that candidates see when they access their portal. Once you've created your templates, you can link them to the relevant jobs - either one at a time or in bulk.

Linking a template to a single job

  • Go to Jobs and select the job you want to configure.

  • Navigate to the Guide Defaults tab for that job.

  • At the top of the page, you'll see a button showing either the currently assigned template name or "No template assigned."

  • Click that button and select "Use a template" (or "Use a different template" if one is already assigned).

  • In the dialog that opens, choose the template you want to use and click "Use template."

If the job's portal content has been customized and differs from the template, you'll see "Modified from original" next to the template name. You can use the "Restore" option to revert it back to the template's default content.

Linking a template to multiple jobs at once (bulk assignment)

  • Go to Jobs.

  • Use the checkboxes to select all the jobs you want to assign a template to.

  • Once jobs are selected, a "Use a template" button will appear in the action bar at the top.

  • Click it, choose the template in the dialog, and click "Use template."

This applies the selected template to all chosen jobs simultaneously.

Viewing which jobs use a template

When editing a template, you'll see a "Used with X jobs" link in the template header. Clicking it opens a searchable list of all jobs currently assigned to that template.

Important note on template changes

Editing a template only applies changes to new candidate portals created going forward. To push updates to existing active candidate portals, use the "Push changes to all active guides" option from the template's menu (the three-dot icon in the top right of the template page).
