The Guide Extension is currently supported for the Google Chrome browser. Unofficially, user's of Microsoft Edge have had limited success using the Guide Extension. We do not currently support Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, or any other browse.
Google Chrome users
Install the Guide Extension for Google Chrome
At any point you can find a direct link to install the Guide Extension for Google Chrome from the user settings dropdown menu accessible when you click your user image in the top-right corner of the Guide Dashboard (https://app.guide.co). Or copy the link below.
Updating the Guide Extension for Google Chrome
Chrome does a updates your extensions automatically, but it checks for updates on its own schedule. Occassionally we may request you proactively update the Guide Extension for Chrome. Follow these simple steps to perform a manual update:
Start Google Chrome.
Click the vertical ellipsis icon tool icon on the browser toolbar.
Select More Tools β Extensions.
Click the Developer Mode button on the right side of the header
From there, find and click the Update button. Voila!
Microsoft Edge
Guide does not officially support the Microsoft Edge browse. However, Microsoft Edge allows for native Chrome Extensions to be installed for their browser. Some users have reported success when following the instructions below.
To install Guide in Microsoft Edge:
Open Microsoft Edge and navigate to the Chrome Web Store.
Select "Allow extensions from other stores" in the banner at the top of the page.
Select "Allow" to confirm.
Navigate to the Guide Extension page and select "Add to Chrome".
At the prompt showing permissions required by the extension, carefully review the permissions, and press the "Add extension" button.
You'll see a final prompt confirming the extension has been added.
