Are you sending the same availability request message to multiple candidates? Save yourself some time. Create a message template with a dynamic availability request that can be used repeatedly โ always updating the information relative to your candidates. Typical uses include recruiter phone screens, hiring manager calls, and onsite interviews.
Note: When using a message template, you can always modify the pre-defined message and adjust the availability request before sending.
How to create a request for availability message template:
From the Guide Dashboard, navigate to Templates in the main navigation and then click the Message templates tab at the top of the page.
Either create a new message template or edit an existing template.
From within the Messenger window, add a Request availability block. You can do this in a few different ways:
Press the Interview confirmation button in the set of quick actions above the editor.
or click the
+
button in the fixed toolbar beneath the editor or type/
in the editor. Both options will pull up a menu. Locate and select Request availability.
You'll be taken to a new window to configure the default behavior of the availability request. Set the name and description. We recommend skipping over the suggested slots since this template will be used in the future and possibly across many roles. Continue once you're finished.
A new block will be placed inside the editor. Add anything else you'd like to the message template. When you're happy with your message template, hit save.
And that's it! You're all set! Next time you go to send a message, you can use this template, and the availability request will update automatically. For more on message templates, read: Using message templates.
