🔔 Managing Your Notification Settings

Stay up to date with what’s happening in Guide by configuring your notification preferences. The Notifications page allows you to control how and where you receive alerts about scheduling activity and candidate messages.

Here’s how to manage your settings:


📬 Scheduling Notifications

Control how you’re notified when tasks are assigned to you or you’re mentioned in scheduling discussions.


1. Mentions in scheduling task comments

  • Toggle this on to receive notifications when someone tags or mentions you in a comment on a scheduling task.

  • You can choose to receive these:

    • In Guide: Direct in-app notifications

    • Via Email: Notifications sent to your inbox

2. Scheduling task assigned to me

  • Get alerted whenever a scheduling task is assigned to you.

  • Again, choose your delivery channels (Guide, Email, or both) by checking the corresponding boxes.

Tip: Keep both Guide and Email toggled on to avoid missing important tasks, especially if you’re not always logged into Guide.


💬 Candidate Messaging

Want to keep a record of all your communications with candidates?

Enable inbox syncing

  • Turn this setting on to receive a copy of every message you send to candidates in your email inbox.

  • This ensures you always have full message history available outside Guide.

💡 Advanced tip: If you don’t want these messages to clutter your inbox, create an email filter that auto-archives or labels them. Learn how →

  • Enable both Guide and Email notifications for task mentions and assignments so you never miss a scheduling update.

  • Turn on Candidate Messaging to keep a searchable archive of your sent messages.

  • Use inbox filters to keep your email tidy while still logging all communications.
