Configure conflict-resolution drafting guidance for Aria

When Aria 2.0 handles a scheduling task, it can draft Slack messages to interviewers whose calendars block a proposed interview time. Conflict resolution drafting guidance lets your organization tell Aria how those initial outreach messages should be writ

Who can use this

  • Org admins configure the default guidance at the organization level.

  • Users with job write access can override guidance for a specific job interview stage.

How to configure it

  1. Open Settings → Aria.

  2. Expand Conflict negotiation.

  3. Find Conflict resolution drafting guidance.

  4. Enter instructions in your own words (e.g. how to list availability blocks, when to address an executive assistant).

  5. Save.

At the job level, open Jobs → [job] → Aria settings, expand a stage's Conflict negotiation section, and edit the same field. Inherited values show a link icon on the label; use Reset to return to the org default after overriding.

How it works

When Aria 2.0 drafts the initial conflict-resolution outreach for an interviewer on a scheduling request, it follows the effective guidance (stage override, else org value). With no guidance configured, draft behavior is unchanged from before this setting existed.

Limitations

  • Aria 2.0 only — orgs on Aria 1.0 for scheduling tasks are unaffected.

  • Applies to the first drafted outreach message only — not to follow-up messages in an ongoing Slack negotiation thread.

  • Guidance is free-text; there are no built-in templates or toggles for negotiation style.
