How recruiter references work
When Aria's Slack draft mentions the recruiter on a scheduling request:
If the recruiter has a linked Slack account in Guide, the draft uses a real Slack @mention that resolves when you paste and send the message.
If the recruiter is known but does not have a linked Slack account, the draft uses their full name as plain text.
If no recruiter is configured on the scheduling request, the draft does not include a recruiter reference.
How other participant names work
For executive assistants, VPs, and interviewers referenced in a Slack draft:
Aria uses the most complete name available from the scheduling context.
When only a partial or display name is available, Aria preserves that value rather than guessing a different name.
When you explicitly ask Aria to @mention an EA, VP, or interviewer in a Slack draft, Aria uses their Slack @mention when a linked Slack account is available.
What this applies to
These rules apply to Aria-generated Slack drafts — for example, outreach to an interviewer about a scheduling conflict or the opening message for a Slack negotiation. Email output and Aria's conversational replies are not affected.
Limitation
You must use the copy button located in the Aria conversation to copy the text. This ensures Slack can recognize the @mention correctly.
@mentions require the person to have a linked Slack account in Guide. Without one, Aria falls back to the person's name as plain text.
Aria does not infer missing identity details. If scheduling context has only a partial name, the draft reflects that partial name.
