Organization Settings: Interview Defaults

Customize how internal interview names appear to candidates and control which interviews are shown or hidden in the portal.

🧾 What Are Interview Defaults?

The Interview Defaults section helps you:

  • Customize internal ATS interview titles for candidate visibility

  • Set default candidate-facing labels for each interview type

  • Toggle visibility of interviews to show or hide them from the candidate portal

This page displays every interview synced from your global ATS interview kit or library.

āœļø Add Candidate-Facing Titles

Each Greenhouse interview has an optional field to define a Candidate-Facing Title.

To edit:

  1. Locate the interview row you’d like to update

  2. In the Candidate-facing title column, enter the label you want candidates to see

šŸ’” Use clean, readable names (e.g., ā€œSkill Assessment" instead of ā€œApplication Pen Test Labā€)

šŸ‘ļø Control Interview Visibility

You can choose which interviews are visible to candidates in their:

  • Guide candidate portal

  • Calendar invite titles

  • Email confirmations

To update visibility:

  1. Locate the interview you’d like to show/hide

  2. Toggle the Visible switch on or off

šŸ”’ Some internal interviews like debriefs or technical screens may be better hidden by default.

šŸ”— Linked Jobs

The Linked jobs column shows how many Greenhouse jobs each interview is connected to. This helps you understand the scope of changes when editing labels or visibility settings.

āœ… Tips

  • Keep candidate-facing titles consistent across similar interview types.

  • Use the visibility toggle to globally suppress interviews you never want candidates to see.

  • These settings apply globally across your Guide workspace, so changes will affect all jobs using the linked Greenhouse interview.
