If interviews are showing up twice on a recruiter or coordinator's calendar, it's likely caused by their account settings. See below for how to resolve this.
What's actually happening
For every interview, Guide creates two separate calendar events:
An interviewer-facing invite (sent to the interviewers)
A candidate-facing invite (sent to the candidate)
If your interviewer and candidate default calendars are left blank, or if you've set them to your own personal calendar, both events land on your personal calendar.
How to eliminate duplicate invites by updating your account settings
The fix: use a shared team calendar Choose a calendar that is not your personal calendar for both the interviewer and candidate defaults. A shared/team calendar you have edit access to works best. That calendar then becomes the organizer of both events, and you simply appear as a guest - no more duplicates.
Click your initials in the top-right corner and open Account Settings
Go to Scheduling Preferences
Find the default calendar options for interviewer invites and candidate invites
Select a shared team calendar (not your personal calendar) for both
Save your changes
A few things to know
You need edit (write) access to whatever calendar you choose. If Guide can't write to it, it will quietly fall back to your personal calendar again.
Your organization can also set an org-wide default calendar so every recruiter is covered without configuring it individually.
You can still override the calendar for a single interview at scheduling time if needed.
How to confirm it worked
Schedule a test interview after updating your settings and check that only one copy appears on your calendar, and that the shared team calendar is listed as the organizer.
